Tasmanian greens leader peg putts response to the Liberal government’s latest national energy target.
Mr Turnbull called on Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to act as a “bridge builder” on Friday and say the federal government has a clean energy policy “to meet our climate commitments”.
“This is clearly not a clean energy target, this is a target on how to produce emissions cuts within the existing framework.
“That’s a clear signal that this federal government has abandoned its climate commitments and that it does not regard this election as a referendum on that.
“Now if they change their minds they need to explain why and show leadership.”
The Government plans to unveil a new national ene바카라rgy policy as part of its election platform to come on October 27.
Opposition Leader Bill Shorten said the Government’s actions were “absolutely shameful”.
